DRESS CODE 

Fomkin Ballet Academy’s dress code outlines specific requirements for different classes, ensuring a professional and uniform appearance for all students. Here’s a breakdown of the dress code based on class:

Pre-Ballet students – Ages 3-6

Girls

  • Leotard: Color Pink
  • Any white ankle socks
  • Pink Ballet Slippers

Boys

  • T-Shirt: Color White
  • Any black shorts (no logos or markings)
  • Any black socks
  • Black Ballet Slippers

Upper Division – Ages 7-14+

Girls

  • Leotard: Black or Blue
  • Convertible Tights, Theatrical Pink
  • Pink ballet slippers
  • A matching Skirt is also available for pointe/variations class/character/historical danse.
  • Pink pointe shoes
  • Character shoes

Boys

  • T-Shirt: Color White
  • Any black tights (no logos or markings)
  • Any black socks or footed tights
  • Black Ballet Slippers
  • Character shoes

General Guidelines:

  • Hair must be pulled back out of the face, with a slick ballet bun and hair net required for ballet classes. (More)
  • No jewelry is allowed.
  • Undergarments should not be visible; if needed, wear skin-colored camisoles or body tights.
  • Ballet tutus are needed solely if a teacher requests to bring them for rehearsal or private lessons.

Students are encouraged to adhere to the dress code by August 15th to ensure they are properly prepared for classes. Compliance with the dress code is strictly enforced to maintain a professional and uniform environment at Fomkin Ballet Academy.
