Content and learning outcomes
1. Ballet and Rhythm
Goal: Develop students’ musical-rhythmic and movement-dance abilities through mastering the fundamentals of musical-rhythmic culture.
Content: Basics of musical literacy. Spatial orientation exercises. Exercises with musical-rhythmic objects. Dance-related exercises. Dance movements. Musical-rhythmic games.
Outcomes: As a result of studying the subject, students should be able to:
- Describe the character of the music using words (sad, cheerful, calm, smooth, graceful).
- Identify strong beats in music and distinguish note durations.
- Understand the differences between “folk” and “classical” music.
- Perform movements correctly.
- Execute basic exercises with and without objects to music, primarily in 2/4 and 4/4 time signatures.
- Start and finish movements in time with the music.
- Coordinate arms, legs, and head movements during walking, running, and galloping.
- Navigate spatially, executing turns while moving along dance lines.
- Differentiate between right and left movements and execute exercises with objects accordingly.
- Master movements with scarves and hoops.
- Maintain posture freely in various positions.
- Work in pairs and synchronize movements.
2. Stretching
Goal: Develop motor skills, enhancing flexibility, endurance, speed, and coordination to facilitate successful mastery of technically complex movements.Outcomes: Ability to perform sets of exercises in the morning and corrective gymnastics considering individual bodily characteristics; ability to consciously control one’s body; proficiency in timing and spatial distribution of movements; mastery of a set of exercises for enhancing body flexibility; coordination skills, knowledge of safety rules during physical exercises.
